in Zimbabwe we use USD how can we also get it in Zim through my bank’s MasterCard platform.

i am a canadian and i use paypal almost everyday, its really great and safe to use, i recomend it…good job south africa for introducing paypal, the difference is banks dont charge for paypal deposits here, i just pay a standard fee to paypal

Unfortunately FNB is the only branch that supports PayPal. Setup can be complicated. First sign up for a Paypal account at paypal.com then enter a credit card. After that they will bill you about $1 (will be refunded). Wait about 3 days and get the PIN they attach to the reference of the statement. Then sign in to FNB and follow the paypal instructions.

Trying to get it set up at an FNB branch and get your account liked to PayPal is not that easy. After 6 months, still not working although I have personally visited the FNB branch. Is there any other bank with competent people who can help?

I thank you from the bottom of my poorly deprived heart and empty stomach. It is hard to earn a living in the Global Village when your own country behaves like a hut without a propper door for money to enter and has a hole for a floor. All other banks take notice!

Soooooo.. they charge internet banking fees, then the money conversion fees then the paypal fees and as usual we are taxed all the way.. so we get just another opportunity to get screwed right. The only way we ever see the light of day here is after it has filtered through the jowels and bowels of the banks and government and … aaa buggerit, now you know why customers are fickle and will hop onto the next best deal without thinking twice. FNB rocks, they are at least trying but hey, I think it is time to face reality, if you live here you will be poor forever.

It sucks that its only available to FNB clients.. if FNB really wanted to do something awesome they should have made it available to anyone.
